Tour the magical red rocks of Sedona and visit Native American Ruins during this Sedona Montezuma Castle & Jerome Tour. Visit sites like Bell Rock, the Chapel of the Holy Cross and Airport Mesa in your tour, and if you wish add on an optional jeep tour of Sedona. This full-daytour leaves from the Phoenix area between 6:00am and 7:00am and returns between 5:00pm and 6:00pm the same day.

The Sedona Montezuma Castle & Jerome Tour gives you a chance to explore ancient Native American ruins, marvel at the spectacular landscape, and explore the local artisans of Sedona and Jerome and the surrounding area. This day trip features an ancient Native American dwellings from the Sinagua Tribe that existed along this busy trade route between 1250AD – 1425AD. During our tour, we will explore the ruins at Montezuma Castle National Monument, one of the best-preserved Sinagua cliff dwellings in North America dating back around 1,000 years.

Following our time at the Native American National Monument, the tour will begin to explore the mystique surrounding Sedona with options ranging from cultural and spiritual to adventurous and active. You will enjoy views of the famous red rock features of Bell Rock, Airport Mesa, and Chapel of the Holy Cross. You will also be treated to views of Cathedral Rock, Snoopy Rock, and Submarine Rock, to name a few. In uptown Sedona, you can explore on foot the many art galleries and shops, get a psychic reading, or enjoy the serenity that Sedona provides with a glass of wine on the balcony. Guests will also have the option of experiencing Tlaquepaque, an outdoor arts & crafts village full of art galleries, craft shops, cobblestone paths & decorative arches. An alternate choice available to you as an add-on is an off-road jeep tour exploring the backcountry of Sedona, or a helicopter tour to gain a bird’s eye perspective of the stunning red rock spires and pinnacles. After approximately 6-7 hours, the tour returns home to the Phoenix area.

Montezuma Castle National Monument – Montezuma Castle National Monument is one of the oldest national monuments in the United States. See stunning cliff dwellings dating back to 700AD. These cliff dwellings were developed by the Pre-Columbian Sinagua people. Seeing the Montezuma Castle National Monument first hand will give you an understanding of how the desert dwellers of the past lived. 

Chapel Of the Holy Cross – This iconic Catholic Chapel is built on the high mesas of Sedona. It sits 2000 feet above the town of Sedona. This is an excellent place to soak in the views and take pictures during trip to Sedona. The Chapel of the Holy Cross was voted one of the Seven Man Made Wonders of Arizona in 2007. This is a must stop for any visitor to Sedona. 

Uptown Sedona Shopping – Sedona is a great place for those who appreciate art. With over 50 galleries, you will be exposed to many different types of Southwestern art. Many jewelry designers make Sedona their home with beautiful galleries where you select that perfect accent piece. Plus, there are a wide variety of restaurants that feature all types of dining at many different price ranges. Sedona is famous for its New Age metaphysical shops. Those looking for crystals have taken the right trip.

Oak Creek Canyon – This beautiful canyon runs between Sedona and Flagstaff. Route 89A runs through the bottom of Oak Creek Canyon giving visitors a spectacular look up the high cliffs of this beautiful, wooded canyon. Keep your eyes open to see all of the wildlife that live throughout the canyon.

Jerome, Arizona – Go back in time to a place where copper was king and mining towns dotted the Arizona landscape. Jerome, once a ghost town after the collapse of copper mining, has been rejuvenated with quaint bed and breakfasts, art galleries, and museums about the copper industry in Jerome. The vistas from Jerome are breathtaking. Be sure to have your camera handy to get a picture of the Red Rocks Country.

Baggage Allowance 
Individual luggage must be kept to a maximum of one piece of luggage less than 50 pounds or one daypack less than or equal to 40 litres. It is recommended to travel with a small day pack for easy access to camera, sunblock, and clothing. Most hotels can arrange to store bulky items pre-tour. We advise our clients to pack as lightly as possible
